[clug] Is pdflush the FBI spying on my machine?

Hey,

when I shutdown my 2.6.0 machine, pdflush takes a _long_ time maxing out 
the CPU before the machine can shutdown cleanly (we're talking about in 
the order of a minute or two). A quick google shows lots of pdflush 
patches, but no discussion of what it is...

So, what is it? And why is it sending back all my personal information to 
the FBI on shutdown?
