Rather like "dd if=/dev/hda2 of=/dev/hda1 ..."

So if the drive is toast, or you weren't able to get your data
off the drive because the Windows install is toast, you're toast...

This was very annoying when upgrading the hard drive on someone's
Packard Bell, as the Windows install media was useless. Figuring out
which cheap & nasty clone chipsets were being used was also fun.
