[clug] Startup problem

Thanks Eyal,

I was using rh7.2 and grub. I went through all the commands that grub
offers but unless I have missed something out I couldn't find a command
to use which would get me to single user text mode. Sorry if my
ignorance is showing. Forcing an error as I did by removing the RAID
card may not be elegant but at least linux is smart enough to know
something is wrong and gives you two choices; login as root or Ctrl D to
reboot. I logged in and solved my problem that way.

Thanks again for your support.

Steve.
