[clug] how to see detailed io stats?

I want to see io stats at the bus, device and partition (fs) levels.
Any of this stats available?

vmstat does not give me enough.
I do not know how to read /proc/stat but it also seems limited.

If necessary then I can build a custom kernel, but would prefer
something that uses a standard one.
