In a nutshell, Caldera has no worthwhile products to offer the market.
Their aquisition of SCO's IP gave an interesting exit strategy; sue IBM
and get bought out by IBM because settling these things out of court
is usually cheaper. Unfortunately (for Caldera) IBM has decided to see
their bluff. (presumably because this will settle the IP thing once
and for all, and maybe even shake out the market a little)

Unfortunately, Caldera can't back down aor they'll be done over
by various parties for negligence.
