I am running a rather large system through it. Looking at

I find that the machine is reporting 98% idle CPU. I want
to understand why. I am using the latest (1.9.4, not cvs)
on 2.4 kernels (rh 2.4.18 and also 2.4.20-latest).

Running a simple multithreaded test program does not
show this problem.
