new debian server

Hi, I currently have a debian web server set-up which is working really 
well, and serving a web application exactly the way that I want it, except 
that it is a bit slow. So I want to set up a new server to do exactly the 
same thing. Fair enough.

Is there some way using dpkg or dselect or something, to exactly mirror the 
setup that I have on the working server, onto the new server. And no it is 
not possible to just directly copy an image of the HD over, as the new and 
old servers are in different states.

Any suggestions?
