I was renewing a library book, and noted this:

The interesting part is the accessibility stuff (see
http://www.utoronto.ca/atrc/rd/smartcard/index.html). The troubling part is
that we are tying the most vulnerable in our community to a system that they
are unlikely to afford themselves (aka Windows Tax).
Nothing in the package looks particularly windows-specific, and I began to
wonder about how CLUG/AUUG/LinuxAustralia could get involved. Maybe
sponsoring some student projects? Anyone worked with this sort of stuff
before? Anyone across the ACT library stuff - can we get a speaker in?
