ext3 undelete?

Hi All,
          I am trying to recover some lost data (not my system in the 
first place, otherwise I would have a backup of it :) - the filesystem 
is ext3 - my question is: Will the ext2 undelete tools for linux work on 
ext3? -  I know they are very similiar filesystems, and you can use most 
ext2 disk tools on ext3..... but I've tried a few and with tests am so 
far getting nothing :(


Any advice?
