Well, they're all running the same code (kernel and user space), so it
comes down to a package management system you like, and how conservative
you want the version selection to be.

For example, you would be on drugs to run a production server on 2.5.59 at
the moment. That's why the Debian stable is still stuck in 2.2 land.
Redhat does very similar things... You might find that other distributions
are a little more gungho about that sort of thing.

Then again, real geeks don't run the stock kernel anyways.
