[clug] ident, suse and mozilla

I've been using squid with squidguard at home for years to
offer some minimal filtering for my children.  All clients
are Linux and I use ident based ACLs for the identification
of who's trying to use the proxy.

I've recently been using SuSE on my laptop and find that
ident cannot report the user when Mozilla is used.  Konqueror
and Galeon are fine.  I'm amazed that the application can
make a difference to the way identd works.

Can anyone suggest why this might be happening?  I'd rather
use Mozilla on this machine.
