I missed the CLUG, but for booting a labtam...

If you don't already have it, you need the labtam xengine boot images...

That has the boot images (CT300 or MT300 usually, depending on your
model), as well as a bunch of other usefull libs and fonts - these can
be made available to the labtam via a nfs or tftp server, and the labtam
server setup is fairly straightforward. Setting everything back to the
labtam defaults and then working through each option one by one and
configuring the labtam and/or the fileserver appropriately should be all
that's needed, and be fairly straightforward.
