CD Audio cable

So get a shielded cable!  I've seen some shops stock them (I picked up 1 
from AB&T in Belconnen, they apparently have spares) - in some cases, 
they have an oversupply, since they get cables with the sound cards and 
the CD-ROMs.

I am no longer troubled by "engine noise" in my headphones.
