ps2pdf without breaking into many pages

Interesting. We use distiller here and it produces better results than
running the postscript file through gzip -9. Trying ps2pdf wouldn't be
feasable as we use the pdfmark stuff to control aspects of the PDF (mostly
to reduce filesize) which I doubt ps2pdf supports.

Does anyone know if ps2pdf does subsetting of fonts or rescaling images?
