It doesnt appear that the clug mailing list restricts posts by
senders addresses. If it did the spam which was sent to this list
would not have been recieved by the members, as the email address it
appears to be sent from does not appear to be a member of the list.
Also the gmane service is most likely not searched by spam bots at
present, as the newsgroups are not available on other news servers at
the present. The main problem with preventing "spambots" is that
nobody appears to know what they do or how they work.
