The markets are probably your best bet. The markup on what
they are paying for stuff at auction is fairly reasonable
considering you can take dud stuff back.

While Renew is optimistic in pricing, I picked up a dead laptop
for $10 at their garage sale (broken screen, no RAM or HD).

Does anyone know of a place that sells older CPUs?  I am looking for a 
K6-2/400 AFQ or similar chip to go into a laptop.  If anyone has any 
similar desktop CPUs I'd be interested in giving one a try instead
