Depends on how much encoding you are willing to do. I recall CELP and similar 
voice oriented techniques can run over a 300bps modem. 30minutes times 60 
seconds times 300 bits is around 66kbytes. You might not be able to tell who 
is speaking though.

Alfred - you did some work in this area for Parakeet virtual cable, right?
