Hello,

I am having trouble logging into my vncserver (linux/RH 7.2) from a windows
machine. As I was not sure if it was a firewall problem, I flushed the
ipchains and set all the rules to Accept. I reinstalled vncserver, checked
that it is running, looked into the log file that only says "refused
connection to [my windows computer ip address...]". I also checked the
network and I can ping the server from the client and the reverse is also
true, samba is working perfectly. Also I can access the vncserver on the
windows machine from the server and the windows machine can access another
vncserver on a linux computer (RH7.1). Yes, I have also read the vnc
documentation and the only thing I cannot do is telnet the vncserver port
but as I never use telnet I am not sure whether it is to do with vncserver
setup, me or telnet configuration. I have also tried to connect from
another windows machine.

I am running out of ideas, could somebody please help (:-}

Cheers

Nic
