It turns out to be in Tridge's junkcode dir in the samba CVS directory is
anyone else cares...

Also, if you don't like the idea of clobbering the /etc/ld.so.preload file
and rendering your system useles, try:

  export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/segv_handler.so

Worst case, reboot your box.
