Let the SMP kernel madness continue

OK. I've come to the conclusion that I have some very weird hardware. I've
downloaded the latest stable kernel source (2.4.18) recompiled everything
from scratch and I still end up with the weird double time problem.

I'm hoping I'll be able to drag this 3 ton monster to CLUG tommorow night so
somebody can take a look at it and point what I'm missing. In case anyone is
interested I've attached a dmesg dump although I'm not sure if it is of much
use.
