The only catch I can see with this is that a listed MX may only be for 
incoming mail, with outgoing mail sent by other machines.

Anyone who is a victim of Telstra wants to stop receiving spam.  By the 
time it's in our mailboxes, we've already paid for it.  If the ORBS 
lookup and OR test cost less than actually receiving the spam, I'd do 
that rather than use an after-the-event system such as SpamAssassin.
