Which USB Modem?

A lot of USB modems are "soft" modems.
That doesnt mean they can't be used. There is a binary driver out for
some of these
soft USB modems. But frankly I don't trust them.

One modem I know of thats a hardware USB modem is the netcomm Roadster
II.
But they're expensive. Almost $200. Whereas the soft modems are about
$80.
