Digital Rack

Hi Guys,

I've got a Digital Rack here, if anyone wants it (otherwise its going on
eBay).

Its about 165cm high and has castors (as well as screw up/down feet to
lock it in position). Theres a front door, back door and side panels, as
well as 3 fans on the front bottom edge, and 6 in the top. Theres also
space for another 6 half-depth rack units mounted sideways along the
side.

Finally, theres 2 power modules to convert 415V (3 phase) to 240V. These
are hooked up to cables that run throughout the case, so theres no
cabling hassles for power. If you don't want them, just pull them out
and dump them :)

In case you're wondering, the unit appears to have been used to contain
(a lot of) SCSI disk arrays.

The only catch is that it doesn't use captured nuts, so you'll have to
devise some way of securing your hardware to it. The obvious solution
would be to epoxy a captured nut behind each hole you plan to use.

If you think this could be useful for youself, make an offer, otherwise,
I'll dump it on eBay.

PS. I've got a whole heap of DEC Alphas, along with hot swap drive
enclosures, drives and systems (Alphaserver 1000 and some Alphaserver
2100s). All the systems appear to be quad CPU units, but I've yet to
power them up. If you want any of these things, I'll be back in Canberra
early January and should have finished categorizing everything before
the January CLUG meeting.
