Balsa stutters

I've been using Balsa for a while, and today, for the second time, 
Balsa sent duplicates of all the mail I sent in the last 24 hours.  It 
waits until I send a mail and then repeats all the previous ones.  This 
tends to annoy people even more than the contents of the mails.

Has anyone else seen this happen?  Maybe I have accidentally set the 
"send everything twice" switch somewhere and forgotten about it.
