have you been to any of the LanFests recently? They keep having to move to larger and larger premises because more people want
to attend.

The last one I was at had room for 300+ people and it was packed to the rafters. They were sleeping on the floor :-)
It was held at the CIT in watson (IIRC).

Now, what percentage of the Canberra LAN (WAN) gaming community is that? Factor in the dedication required to pack up and
transport your PC and I would guess that this represents about 20% of the number who would regularly use the facility if it were
available from their home.

i.e. the number is definitiely in the thousands.
