I made two suggestions. Please don't get them confused. I was at no
point suggesting running X on the Win2K box.

I was suggesting using Ixplorer for the Win2K box, which is a Windows
Application and looks reasonably like Windows Explorer, although on
looking at WinSCP (the other one suggested on the lsit) it may be easier
to use and looks like it has more features. I would have a look at
both, and choose the one you like. Both are really just front ends for
Putty.

As far as I know, there is no way of browsing GW's filesystem in Windows
Explorer without installing Samba on GW, or if there is it is a
commercial product. However, I really think that Ixplorer or WinSCP
will do what you want.

For viewing from your other Linux box (DEV), and that box only, I was
suggesting that if you want a graphical interface to view GW filesystem,
then 'ssh -X GW' from Linux (not windows) is the thing to do. This
suggestion had nothing to do with the Win2K box, and also assumes that X
is installed on GW.
