I have a P75 routing ADSL and it is very fast. System load rarely gets
about 0.1-0.2, even using ssh. I also have this running my apache,
mail server and imap without problems. I don't though use it for any
interactive work. I have a seperate workstation PIII-500 for that and just use
the P75 as a server.
I also have a 486/75 running as an X-Term without problems accessing
the PIII.
pppoe doesn't use a whole lot of CPU, so I would imagine a 486, or even
a 386 if you can still find one would be a problem.
