Just do whatever you feel interested in.  If computer science is your
burning passion by all means sign up, but you don't necessarily need
formal training in computers to work in the field.  Since I did science
I can give you many examples of science-type people who have nifty
computer jobs.  I'm sure the same applies to many other disciplines.

Training courses can be very good but they can cost a lot.  They are
often best done after you get your first job and you can convince the
boss to send you for some specialist training.  If this sounds good to
you, consider the public service.
