I had this exact discussion with a really fervent Debian user, where I
kept listing things that BSD supposedly did better than Linux.  Every
time I mentioned something he quoted a Debian package or procedure that
gave equal or superior funtionality to Linux.

I think it may have been true that BSD once had some superior
functionality, but Linux has stolen it since then.
