Hi, 

Connections are timing out under linux when attempting to connect
to Telstra ADSL. It works fine under windows. 

I have installed the latest pppd. Can anyone offer some advice on
what might be the problem, or at least how I could diagnose the problem.

When I run tcpdump over the interface, should I be seeing anything? 
(tcpdump seems to listen, but not hear anything).
