Hey,
I'm trying to get a linux box red hat 7.2
talk to NIS+.
I'm following these instructions:
"
(...)
- download nis-utils-1.4.1
- run the following commands:
# tar xvfz nis-utils-1.4.1.tar.gz
# cd nis-utils-1.4.1
# ./configure
# make
# make install
I'm using nis-utils-1.4.1-0.i386.rpm.
I've got it installed ok.
# cp etc/redhat.rc /etc/rc.d/init.d/nisplus
# chmod 755 /etc/rc.d/init.d/nisplus
# chkconfig --level 2345 nisplus on
# sh /etc/rc.d/init.d/nisplus start
(...)"
But, I've got no /etc/redhat.rc !
I've got only /etc/rc with no reference to nisplus.
Where I can get it ? Or what I've to do in this case?
Somebody could help me, please?
Thanks in advance!
