Only do it in one place.  It pings the whole NIS+ service, ie master
and replica servers.  You might as well do it from the master server,
on the grounds that if it is down there's no point doing one, but if
everything else but the server is down, it still serves a purpose!

You will, of course, already have your nightly nisbackup command in
the root-server crontab...
