[linux-cifs-client] mount.cifs and dfs referrals

If I mount the share on the NAS directly then it works but this is not my goal.

What do you mean by "only inside mounted share"?

I'm using fedora 10( 2.6.27-12) which has cifs version 1.54.
Are the problems that I'm facing resolved in 2.6.28 or higher?
