[linux-cifs-client] connectathon special test failure with LInuxExtensions disabled

The following section of the "special" section of the connectathon
test suite fails to Samba with LinuxExtensionsEnabled turned off in
/proc/fs/cifs

second check for lost reply on non-idempotent requests
testing 50 idempotencies in directory "testdir"
stat 1: No such file or directory
special tests failed

Ideas what is going on?
