[linux-cifs-client] unable to chmod

Hello, need some help.

I´m try to establish a cifs mount on Linux.

mount.cifs works, but I can´t change file permissions (chmod, ...).
Everytime I try, it uses the settings of "create_mask" in the servers
smb.conf instead of my given values, but the file isn´t created, it is
already there.
With Windows it´s working.

Where is the failure?

Using SuSE 10.1, Samba 3.0.22, CIFS Kernel 2.6.16, mount.cifs 1.10-3.0.22

Thanks and Greetings
Bernd
