[linux-cifs-client] Files with certain characters fail to stat/copy.

Hi,

I've a WinXP box that is being mounted via "mount -t cifs" from a Linux 2.4
box, running Revision 97 of
"svn://svnanon.samba.org/linux-cifs-client/branches/linux-converged-for-old-kernels"
(Version 1.46) with the patch posted to this list
http://lists.samba.org/archive/linux-cifs-client/2007-February/001719.html .
(Newer versions from svn don't compile).

Filenames with character 8217 (the single quote just like char 39) on the XP
box fail to "stat" and can't be copied over to the linux box. (Example:
save the webpage as an IE favorite:
"http://www.researchbuzz.org/wp/tools/cookin-with-google" as it has 8217 in
the title and try to copy the resulting favorite .url over cifs)

Any hints on how to get filenames with these characters to work? Thanks.
