[linux-cifs-client] CIFS Performance

Hello,

 

I am having an issue where my file copies from a CIFS volume (Windows
Box) to my Linux box...  Local system has no issues...  The problem
occurs only when using the mounted CIFS volume.  I am copying gigs of
data from the Windows box to my Linux box for parsing reasons.

 

Below is my dmsg output.

It transfers in spurts and sometimes goes minutes without any
progress...  This doesn't happen on RHEL, but does on a Fedora Core 4
box with the following config.

EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

 

samba-client-3.0.23a-1.fc4.1

 

Can anyone help me here?  It is quite stressful trying to figure this
out.
