[linux-cifs-client] Sending passwords unencrypted

Hello,

I have to connect to a very old samba server (v2.2.7) that only accepts unencrypted passwords. Unfortunately I do not find an option in cifs to send the password unencrypted. Is this correct? If yes could such an option be provided?
