[linux-cifs-client] RHEL3 CIFS won't compile

Just to document and let everybody know the solution, I got somebody on the
Taroon mailing list who knew what to do.  The stated procedure won't work until
u unredhatify the kernel by doing a make mrproper first.  Then the module will
compile normally.  One other thing to do is that make mrproper changes the
kernel version to custom so to prevent version complaints by modprobe u need to
edit the version.h file and remove the word "custom" from the end of the
version string.  Then compile.
