Hi there,

I just did my first tries with CIFS.

Using linux 2.6.13 I want to mount a Windows XP share from an embedded
ARM device.

Unfourtunatly I get

~ # mount -t cifs //10.0.2.10/test /mnt/smb -o user=scholz
CIFS VFS: Length less than smb header size
CIFS VFS: bad smb detected. Illegal length. The mid=5
 CIFS VFS: Bad SMB Received
<then nothing for quiet some time, then>
 CIFS VFS: No response buffer
 CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -112

(mount.cifs version: 1.7)

Doing the same from a Linux PC (mount.cifs version: 1.6-SUSE) works.

What do the above messages mean?
Has anyone ever tried to use CIFS on ARM?

Thanks a million!
