[linux-cifs-client] Mounting CIFS gives me permission denied

Steve:

I think port 139 is up an operational on the fileserver.

When I do:
	telnet 192.168.1.2 139

I get this response:
	Trying 192.168.1.2...
	Connected to 192.168.1.2.
	Escape character is '^]'.

Why would mount.cifs think the server is down?

Thanks
	Neil

The host is down error would normally indicate that the server is not
listening on that port or that it is blocked.
