[linux-cifs-client] CIFS and mtime

I mount a Windows (XP Professional SP2 using NTFS) share on
2.6.8.1.

I noticed that using the same FTP client, the files created by
smbfs preserve the mtime (MDTM ?) from the server, but CIFS
doesn't (uses ctime or whatever it's called).

Not a real problem, but is there any way to make it behave like
smbfs ? I used the same options to mount both filesystems. If
not possible, is it a lack of feature, by design ?
