[linux-cifs-client] ACPI suspend/resume

After doing a ACPI suspend/resume on my test laptop:

echo -n "mem" > /sys/power/state

there is the unkillable process "cifsd" that takes up 95% of CPU time.

i.e. "kill -9 cifsd" does nothing.

In the dmesg log there are thousands of:

fs/cifs/connect.c: Error -512 connecting to server via ipv4
 fs/cifs/connect.c: Socket created

I have to reboot to kill the process.

Is this a known problem, or is it an unknown bug? Does CIFS have suspend
capabilities?
