This is a valid bug but a little tricky to fix since the kernel mount
options are comma delimited (not just what is passed to the mount.cifs
utility).   I have a rewrite of large sections of the mount.cifs.c mount
helper source that needs to be checked in - and it will be a good thing to
look at next.
