That's a pity as we don't use Microsoft Remote-Procedure-Calls at all.
We only depend on the SMB abilities of jCIFS.
And with more and more Windows 10 clients popping-up and the new Windows Server right around the corner, this will get more and more of a serious problem for our customers - which means for us as well.

Hi Gerrit,
No. There are no plans to implement SMB2/3 in JCIFS.
For SMB 2/3 you should try the other Java SMB projects. Although I
have no idea how good they are. Never tried them.
Note that JCIFS does still have a high quality MSRPC implementation
that I have a strong interest in maintaining.
