Use a "sniffing" pc with two bridged ethernet cards (which is a function
available both in Linux and Windows) running wireshark, connected the Unix
and HP-UX systems through it.

You may even use a sniffing pc with a single ethernet card provided you
connect the three units through a smart switch with monitoring capability.
