Many, many thanks for that very detailed response.

I shall explore the options you suggest and see whether we could
implement something like what you suggest.

However, I think for the time being, we may just have to settle for
adding the DisableNTLMPreAuth entry to the registry as this does seem to
resolve the issues we're having with POST and IE6.
