We used ethereal to capture packets, here is what is showed when
using 1.1.9:
SMB Session Setup AndX Request, User: \xxxxxxx; Tree Connect AndX,
Path: \\10.15.1.135\IPC$
I don't have the exact output for a newer library, but Path was the
fqdn of the AD machine instead of the IP address.
