domainController and domain are somewhat mutually exclusive. Try removing
domainController.

Also, try the examples/ListFiles.java example on your "Public" share
with the said credentials just to verify they're good.

Does your domain really have a '.' in it? Are you sure you're not
confusing the NT domain with your Kerberos realm?
