Position Summary For:

Mid-Level Web Developer

The Mid-Level Web Developer must display a deep and well-rounded skill set including mastery of various markup languages, scripting languages, and Java servlets. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript mastery are required; those foundational skills must be rock-solid.  Building upon that base, the candidate will spend as at least 75% of their time coding JSP, JavaScript, and XML.  Candidate must also be able to develop visual designs and to execute them fully. However, this is primarily a developer position with design a secondary concern.

Knowledge and Skills Required for this position:
"	BS in Engineering, Design, or related field coupled with relevant experience
"	Approximately 4 to 5 years of professional experience.
"	Expert-level experience in creating/debugging HTML (hand coding), CSS, DHTML, JavaScript and JSP is required.
"	Working Knowledge of XML, CVS.
"	Preferred candidate will demonstrate knowledge of XHTML, XML, Styles, XMLHttpRequest, Shell scripting, Grep, and Linux/Unix.
"	Experience in creating Online Promotion Marketing/Advertising industry a plus
"	Able to work well in a team environment, no egos.
"	Bonus points if you know what the terms CPA and CPM mean.

Also of value would be knowledge of:
"	Experience with Macromedia Flash design and development preferred.
"	Relational databases including Oracle, FileMaker Pro, and MySQL
"	Perl, PHP, ASP, Python, Lingo, ActionScript, HyperTalk, etc.

The primary responsibility will be to solve complex problems coded in JSP and JavaScript, with the ability to make decisions on the fly, including business and presentation decisions, and to work independently.  You will be required code final solutions in JSP and JavaScript.  You must feel comfortable working in a mixed OS (Linux, Windows, Mac OS), highly networked +environment. 

The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. You should be able to juggle and switch between many projects at once. This is a very fast paced environment and the work needs to be done well, accurately and fast.
